The Blessèd Book (Henderson)

There's a blessèd Book, and if sinners look
They will find the way to glory;
While its pages rare young and old may share,
'Tis a wondrous old, old story.

Refrain
’Tis the living way to the realms of day,
Is this wondrous old, old story;
For it is the guide
To the Christ who died,
'Tis a wondrous old, old story.

There’s a blessèd Book, and if Christians look,
They will find the path of duty;
'Tis the only guide to the portals wide
Of the realms of heav'nly beauty.

To the blessèd Book we will ever look,
’Tis the Holy Spirit calling,
From the way of sin it will sweetly win,
And it keeps the saint from falling.

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalm 119:160
