George StebbinsGeorge Stebbins (1846-1945) was an American Gospel hymn writer who composed the music for over fifteen hundred hymns. Associated with D. L. Moody in evangelistic work. Co-editor with Ira Sankey and James McGranahan of many hymn books. Composed the music for the following familiar hymns:
